Shed layers of dead skin while revealing
a dewy youthful glow.
Dermaplaning is a non-invasive form of manual exfoliation that resurfaces dehydrated, dull, and aging skin. Our trained estheticians use a specialized blade to gently remove dead skin cells and vellus hair, also referred to as peach fuzz. This exfoliation encourages cellular regeneration, resulting in a smoother texture including the softening of fine lines, scars and sun damage. The treatment may be performed every 3-4 weeks.
Benefits of Dermaplaning
- Decongested pores
- Brighter, more even skin tone
- Enhanced product penetration
- Temporary removal of facial hair
- Generation of healthy new skin cells
- Further optimized results from other skincare services
- Improved skin texture including reduction to the appearance of fine lines and acne scars
What To Expect
There is no pain associated with dermaplaning. It is a non-invasive treatment removing only the outermost layers of the epidermis. Since products will penetrate more easily, we recommend following a gentle skincare regimen post treatment. There is no downtime after dermaplaning, in fact we recommend that you schedule a treatment prior to a big event due to the refreshed appearance of your skin and smooth application of makeup.
The vellus hair that is removed is the fine, translucent hair that you find on your cheeks, jaw and neck. When vellus hair is cut, the structure of the hair does not become damaged, therefore it is impossible for it to grow back thicker (a common misconception). Coarse, terminal hairs must be removed with tweezers, wax or laser hair removal.
The ideal candidate is one with relatively clear skin, fine lines, or moderate acne scarring. If you have severe or cystic acne, extremely sensitive skin, a bleeding disorder or are taking blood thinners we do not recommend dermaplaning.
Single treatment, $160; Three treatments, $450; Six treatments, $900
